Does a ketogenic diet mean that you have to cut dill pickles out of your life? Are they a keto snack?
The Short Answer
Yes, dill pickles make a perfect keto snack.
The Long Answer
Rejoice, my pickle loving keto practicing brethren. Dill pickles are 100% allowed on the keto diet. This is good news for a lot of you, as pickles make up one of the best keto snacks you can have this side of pork rinds.
Dill pickles aren’t the only pickle you can enjoy on keto. Almost all pickle varieties are perfectly acceptable additions to the keto diet. That’s because pickles have no calories and only one net carb per serving.
You can even dip pickle spears in ranch dressing for an extra little burst of fat for your macros. Or, my absolute favorite keto pickle recipe is to wrap them in bacon and bake them in the oven.
It’s pure keto bliss.

What is Keto?
The Ketogenic Diet, or Keto, is a low carb, high fat diet which helps you lose weight by forcing the body into a state of ketosis. On the Keto diet, users force the body to shed pounds by feeding on fat broken down in the liver, rather than carbohydrates and glucose.
When we eat a lot of carbohydrates, the body produces both insulin and glucose. The body feeds on the glucose to produce energy and stores fat, rather than burning it. With keto, you can lose weight, improve your overall health, and enrich yourself in both body and mind. Learn more about the Keto Diet here.
